A WARNING TO A NATION
TEXT: Isaiah 18:1-2
It is true America is not mentioned by name in the Bible.
1. I believe God speaks about her.
2. Either way it is written that “all nations” will suffer judgment in the days before the return of the Lord.
2. I believe we must pray for this nation.
I. THE UNNAMED NATION
A.It is described as a great nation.
1. A people who are fierce and enterprising.
2.God issues a warning to this nation, judgment is coming.
B. THE NATION DESCRIBED
1. Is in great difficulty with God.
2. The word “woe” in the text is judgmental.
3. This nation has a insignia of wings.
4. Its land is beyond the sea from Israel.
C. ONE OF HER GREAT CITIES WAS DESTROYED IN THE LAST DAYS
1. Sounds a lot like New York City.
2. A nations leading city.
3. The Bible makes some interesting claims about the most powerful and wealthiest nation on earth.

II. AMERICA, the Babylon?
A. Examine Jeremiah 50-51 and Isaiah 18&47 and Revelation 17-18
